Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do not come to the gym if you are sick!
  • No open drink containers (coffee cups, cans, etc) in the gym. Water bottles that close are ok.
  • Please do not put personal items or drinks on shelves. If you have an open drink that cannot close, please leave this outside.

For Personal Training, we require 24-hour notice for a cancellation. Your payment can be used for your next training session if canceled with more than 24-hour notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours, you will forfeit the training session.

For in studio classes, we require 12-hour notice for a cancellation. Your payment/class credit can be used for your next training session if canceled with more than 12-hour notice. If you cancel with less than 12 hours, you will forfeit the session.

For those participating in classes through Classpass, we cannot reimburse, reschedule, or change any sessions that are booked through that platform. Any late cancels, no shows, or other issues will need to be addressed through Classpass directly

Hot Fit NYC will not refund any packages – classes or personal training- and packages expired 3 months after purchase date.

Entry into a class after it has started is at the discretion of the instructor but will be allowed as long as it is not disruptive to the rest of class. For personal training sessions, please notify your coach directly if you are running late. Coaches are obligated to wait for half of the session (ex: 30min for a 60min session) for a client to arrive, but please note that training time will not be extended beyond the originally scheduled end-time. If a client arrives later than halfway through a session and the coach has not been notified, the session will be forfeited.  

No experience is necessary at all! We welcome all comers, whether they have never exercised a day in their life or are an elite athlete. All classes are ‘all-levels’ and modifications will be made available as needed. Please do not hesitate to let the instructor(s) know your skill level and any concerns you have so that we can help you get the most out of your training!

Yes! We have wraps, MMA and boxing gloves for sale. We do not currently rent gloves given the ongoing pandemic and encourage everyone to have their own gear. If you are trying class out for the first time and are not sure you want to invest in gloves, wraps are only $5! Please come a few minutes early to purchase your gear if needed and to get instruction on how to use any equipment if you are new to boxing and kickboxing!

Please discuss any limitations with the coach or instructor. Depending on the nature of illness or injury, we reserve the right to ask for documentation from your physician stating that you are cleared to return to full activity.

Currently we accept cash, Venmo and PayPal for all classes and personal training.

Personal training is scheduled directly with Mindbody or your Coach!

Yes! Pre-registration is required for all classes! This is most important for in studio classes given the reduced capacity at this time. Outdoor classes and Zoom have some added flexibility but in order for us to set the programming and number of instructors needed, we require pre-registration whenever possible.

  • For class or training, bring your wraps or gloves if you plan to incorporate boxing or kickboxing, some water (in a resealable bottle) and a towel (optional). Payments should be done in advance when possible, but cash is accepted at the time of class as well.
  • For personal training, you may choose to bring weightlifting ‘gear’ such as gloves, straps, weight belts if desired.
  • There is no formal dress code, be comfortable! Wear clothes that allow you to have full range of motion.

You have 1 calendar year from the date of purchase unless the package states otherwise. (For example, some special packages will expire within 2-3 months).

We do allow outside trainers to schedule sessions. The following procedure must be followed to your first session, please provide the studio with:

  • Provide a copy of current liability insurance
  • Provide a copy of trainer certification
  • Payment of $30 Fee

Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot offer “open gym” hours.

We do not have a locker room or shower. We have a bathroom which you may use to change your clothes before or after class/sessions. Please be courteous to others as there is only one bathroom. 

We do not supply water or towels at this time. We encourage everyone to bring their own towel and water bottle.

We do have wifi in the studio! You can ask for the password when there if you would like to stream your music to the speaker

We do encourage all ages to train at our facility. That being said, minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult and a waiver must be signed by the adult prior the session. If someone other than a parent is accompanying a child, permission must be granted in advance and communicated to the Coach. We strongly recommend an adult be present throughout the session to address any questions or concerns that may arise.
